I've seen Higurashi ( pic related ) and Umineko, but I really need more.

Don't know of anything really well done in gory horror, but Shigurui is pretty good, also check out Kyogoku Natsuhiko Kosetsu Hyaku Monogatari (Requiem from the Darkness).
